Comprehensive Eye Exams

Did you know that there’s much more to an eye exam than just updating your glasses prescription? Did you also know that 20/20 vision doesn’t necessarily indicate healthy eyes? At Lumen Eye Center, we do much more than determining your prescription. Using our thorough approach and the latest technology, we can detect many health and eye conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, keratoconus, dry eye disease, and many more. We believe in proactive and preventative care that starts with early detection and intervention to preserve great vision and healthy eyes for a lifetime. Think of your comprehensive eye exam as your yearly physical for you and your family's eyes.

Myopia Management

Myopia is a common eye disease caused by the lengthening of the eye, causing blurred distance vision. High myopia is associated with increased risk of sight-threatening complications, such as retinal detachment, cataracts, and glaucoma. Unfortunately we are seeing an alarming increase in the prevalence and rate of myopia progression, especially in school-aged children. Fortunately, there are several treatments that can slow down this progression. At Lumen Eye Center, we can determine which treatment is the most appropriate for your child.

Dry Eye Management

More than 30 million Americans suffer from dry eye disease, which can cause symptoms of burning, stinging, gritty sensation, watering, redness, blurred vision, and light sensitivity. Dry eye disease typically becomes more common with age, however, due to increased screen time, we are seeing an increased prevalence of this condition even in younger patients. At Lumen Eye Center, we have the advanced technology and experience to diagnose and provide customized treatments to our patients suffering from this chronic condition.
